I am a Mason alumna and love working at SMSC, an absolutely beautiful campus at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute and an extension of the National Zoo. SMSC is a “domestic” semester abroad, and we have amazing students, faculty and staff. I can’t say enough that is positive about the program.
I joined Staff Senate in 2020 during infamous COVID-19.
I joined the Staff Senate because I’ve followed its advocacy and look forward to contributing to its mission, while expanding my network of colleagues outside the regional campus.

I love Mason because of our motto “Innovation is Tradition.” Mason fosters both individuality and diversity. Because of this, each member of the Mason community has an opportunity to grow outside of their work position and everyone’s strengths lie within not only our communal goal, but our diversity.
I joined Staff Senate in 2020.
I joined Staff Senate because after being at Mason for 10 years I decided it was time to help all of our staff not only have an individual voice on campus, but a collective voice. I want to be part of a group that fosters community, involvement, and appreciation for our staff. Mason’s staff to me is the “heart” of Mason and each voice is important and should be heard. My hope is that I can serve as a voice for our staff to ensure that the staff’s role is valued just as much as our student and faculty voices.

I joined Staff Senate in 2012 and again in 2020.
I joined the Staff Senate because I love connecting with others around the university. I find it extremely rewarding to be able to share information and learn from those around me. Mason has provided me with a very satisfying career and I want to do my part to give back and make it an even better place for all.

I joined Staff Senate because after stepping into the position of Events Coordinator I thought this would be a great opportunity to network and build relationships with my fellow staff and campuses. Also, I work out of the Executive Office, which oversees all of the SciTech Campus, and this would be another opportunity to represent the campus.
