I joined Mason in 2023.

I was elected to the Staff Senate in 2025. My current term ends in 2027.

I love working at Mason because I love being able to support students at my alma mater as they build their student journey here especially as a marginalized identity

I joined the Staff Senate to help better support staff so they can better support their offices and audiences especially with topics not commonly discussed. I also wanted to learn more about the gaps we are seeing across the university and how we, as Staff Senate, can help mitigate them.

I was elected to the Staff Senate in 2025. My current term ends in 2027.

I love Mason because of its diverse and inclusive community. I don’t feel different here—I feel welcomed and appreciated. Working with both students and colleagues from many backgrounds enriches my day-to-day experience and fosters a sense of collaboration, learning, and mutual respect. The supportive environment and teamwork within the department truly reflect the spirit of Mason.

I joined the Staff Senate because I want to support Mason staff at a broader level. I believe in advocating for our needs, sharing our voices, and contributing to a more connected campus. I want to help address concerns, learn from others, and offer my own experience as part of a meaningful and supportive community. I also enjoy the opportunity to be involved in initiatives that positively impact the university.

I love Mason because the people here are encouraging, welcoming, and work hard to create an environment that pushes students, staff, and faculty to succeed.

I joined the Staff Senate because I want to help advocate for positive change around campus for our non-student wage and classified staff members, and to help George Mason keep moving forward.

I was first elected to the Staff Senate in 2015 and served until 2022. My current term ends in 2028.

I love Mason because I love the diversity of the students, faculty, and staff.  There really does seem to be something for everyone here and it truly is a strength of this university.  We are definitely all together different.   

I joined because now that I have completed my graduate degree, one of the many benefits of being on the staff here at Mason, I’m ready to continue to help engage constituents, educate the Mason community, and advocate for the needs of staff.  Working with this robust group of staff allows me the opportunity to connect with the university community, working to enhance the lives of fellow staff, as we strive to make Mason the best possible place to learn, work, and achieve success.

I joined because I want to be an agent of positive change: helping to improve Mason operations and policies, advocating for the needs of the staff, and fighting to ensure staff members’ title and pay align with the work they are being asked to perform.

I love working at Mason because of the diversity of voices all working in their own way towards a common goal of continually advancing the university. At Mason, the whole is definitely greater than the sum of the parts!

I joined the Staff Senate because I wanted to broaden my knowledge of the workings of the institution, to advocate for my colleagues throughout the university, and to collaborate with other senators and others across the campuses to work for the benefit of the whole of Mason.
