As the Staff Senate, we are a body of peers–classified and non-student wage employees–at George Mason University. In addition to our paid positions, we volunteer our time on the Staff Senate.
Our purpose is threefold. First, as an advisory body, we hear from staff and work toward finding appropriate avenues to address concerns. Second, we value our constituents through appreciation events and recognition programs. Third, we educate staff on matters that have an impact on their work-life.
Paramount to all our work is engaging with staff. We are a collective voice, and together we can achieve great success. To do so, we must connect with one another to fulfill our mission.
