The Patriot Green Fund has two upcoming application deadlines on October 6 and October 20. To learn more and apply, visit the website.

Any student, faculty, or staff member may apply for funds to support a sustainability project on campus. Funding can be used in several ways:

  • Implement a “green feature” on Mason’s campuses, with the leadership of a class or individual student
  • Implement a large research project (this kind of project must be overseen and directed by a faculty member)
  • Quick Funds designed to implement a smaller research or facility improvement project that can be accomplished in the span of a semester

WebEx Now Available

Information Technology Services (ITS) is pleased to announce that Cisco WebEx Meeting Center host accounts are now available to all employees. Host accounts allow you to schedule and lead meetings in WebEx Meeting Center— wherever and whenever you need (an account is not needed to participate in meetings hosted by others).

For details and to request your host account, visit its.gmu.edu/webex. It may take up to three business days to process your request.

WebEx Meeting Center is a cloud-based web conferencing tool for meetings and collaboration, allowing participants to share video, audio, and content—all online. It will be available for general office use. Use in classrooms and conference rooms are considered to be in beta release, as ITS works to upgrade the technology in these spaces to allow for full use of WebEx functionality. If you are interested in using WebEx with a physical room location, contact cvt@gmu.edu for assistance.

To learn more about WebEx Meeting Center, watch this short video.

For additional resources and tutorials, visit Cisco’s Collaboration Help Portal.
