1. Free Financial Counseling Sessions

Do you need financial counseling? Mason employees can register at no cost for on-campus, individual consultations with TIAA, Fidelity, ICMA-RC and VRS. 2. Well-Being Seminar: Stress Reduction Tool Bag

Details: Fairfax Campus, Merten Hall 1202 on July 12 from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.

As part of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Human Resources & Payroll is offering a Well-being Lunch and Learn Series focusing on mental health topics.

July’s topic is Stress Reduction Tool Bag. This seminar will discuss good and bad stress. Participants will explore how to recognize the symptoms of stress and gain tools to manage stress, including mindful communication.

3. New Location for the Mason Discount Page

4. Emerging Leader Series

Apply for the next cohort of the Emerging Leaders Supervisor Series!

The series begins in September 2018 and runs until November 2019. In addition to the curriculum, participants will:

  • Work with assigned workplace coaches to set goals related to their growth as a leader
  • Complete a developmental project
  • Work with peers across the university to learn more about the institution and to build a network of fellow supervisors

5. Sign Up to Lead Who’s Walking Wednesday

Sign up to lead a Who’s Walking Wednesday walk! Choose a date then lead the walking group for 30 minutes anywhere around campus. 6. WeightWatchers at Work

If you are interested, WeightWatchers at Work meetings are held every Friday at 11:30 a.m. in Merten Hall 2500.

7. Eat Well Challenge 2018

CommonHealth, the state’s Employee Wellness Program, is challenging employees to eat healthy with the 2018 Eat Well Challenge!

The first 1,000 employees to complete the challenge (including submitting the follow-up survey at the end of the challenge) will receive a Ginny B. Well pin.

First Class – Mason ’68 and Beyond

“First Class” is an exploration of Mason’s history and a celebration of Mason’s students over the decades. In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the class of 1968, four cases in the gallery are dedicated to the 1960s, with the remaining four cases dedicated to the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s.
