Bicycle Commuting 101: Online via Zoom
Bicycling to campus can be fun and great for your well-being. Join Delia Johnson, a League of American Bicyclists certified instructor, for Bicycle Commuting 101. During this session on Tuesday, April 25, at 1:30 p.m. via Zoom, Delia will share information to help you feel more confident about getting to campus on two wheels.

This session is open to faculty, staff and students. Register. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Learn to Ride a Bike with the Fairfax Alliance for Better Bicycling (FABB)
Want to learn to ride a bike? The Fairfax Alliance for Better Bicycling (FABB), Mason Parking and Transportation, and the City of Fairfax are offering an Adult Learn to Ride class on Saturday, April 22, from 9 a.m. to noon in Parking Lot C on the Fairfax Campus. The cost is just $10. Bikes and helmets provided. For residents of Fairfax County, City of Fairfax, or Mason students, faculty, and staff. Spaces limited. Find out more details and registration information here.

Reminder: Charter Buses on Campus
If you have an event where you will be having any number of charter buses on campus, please coordinate their visit with Parking Services. Even one charter bus needs to be accommodated for drop-off, pickup, and parking. Please remember charter buses should not be advised to pick up or drop off at Rappahannock River Lane or the Sandy Creek Transit Center. Both locations are transit hubs, and there is not sufficient space to allow charter bus access. Parking Services is happy to work with you to find a location and make arrangements; please include them in your event-planning process. They can be reached at separk12@gmu.edu or 703-993-2065.

Reminder: Daily Complimentary Parking Passes
If you participate in carpooling, vanpooling, Commuter Choice, and Bike Commuter Choice, eligible faculty and staff receive complimentary daily parking passes as part of these programs.

Please remember that when you use daily passes, they are meant for one day of parking, so you must include a date on the pass when you use it or risk a parking ticket. Parking and Transportation doesn’t want this to happen to anyone, so please take a moment and put the complete date on the daily pass you are using.
