Mason Kids Club’s Got Talent

The Mason Child Development Center is sponsoring a Mason Kids Club’s Got Talent program. Children between 6 and 11 years of age are welcome to try out!

MAP Meeting

The next Mason Administrative Professionals meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Johnson Center, Meeting Room C.  MAP members, Dominique Vines & Kerry Hentges will be talking about Housing and Residence Life.  We will also have a complimentary tasting by McAlister’s Deli at University Mall. Exhibit: From Tintypes to .TIFFs

From Tintypes to .TIFFs: Life through the Lens traces the development of photography across the past 200 years and showcases selections of unusual photographic processes and highlights of the Special Collection Research Center’s (SCRC) photographic holdings.

A reception for the exhibit will be held on February 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the SCRC seminar room. Professor Vanessa Schulman of the history and art history department will speak, and refreshments will be provided by Argo Tea.

Holiday Toy and Pantry Drive Follow Up

Happy New Year! Thank you to everyone who donated toys for the INOVA Children’s Hospital Toy Drive and provided food and pantry items for the Patriot Pantry during the holiday season.

We were able to collect an overwhelming amount of donations and personally drop off the collections to each of the organizations.

Mason Community Arts Academy: Summer Camp Registration Open

Registration is open for Mason Community Arts Academy Summer Camps for kids and teens ages 5–18!

With over 40 programs to choose from in music, acting, visual art, photography, and film and video, there is something for everyone.

Students ages 13–18 can also sign up for the Residential Option and get a taste of college life during the week of June 17 (when also registered for one of our Music Intensive programs that week).

Skype for Business Now Available at Mason

Skype for Business (Skype) is now available to active Mason faculty, staff, and students at no cost. Skype lets you connect and collaborate with coworkers or students at Mason, whether via instant messaging or online meetings.

Access to Skype is tied to your email address. You will automatically have an account through your Mason email, and no sign-up is necessary.

Skype is accessible on desktop, laptop, and mobile devices.
