Staff Senate general meetings are held the first Wednesday each month, with the exception of January, July and August.
Meetings start at 10 a.m., with half of the meeting dedicated to our guest speaker(s) and half to our business meeting, which includes time for constituents to speak. Which half of the meeting involves the guest speaker can vary from month to month depending on the speaker’s schedule but the order is generally announced days or weeks in advance.
Authentication
Beginning in March 2024, the Staff Senate will be requiring that virtual attendees join our Staff Senate General Meetings with their Patriot Pass credentials. Requiring authentication to join ensures that we are not interrupted by disingenuous parties. If you are already signed into Zoom using your Mason-licensed Zoom account, you should not see a difference. If you are not already signed into your Mason-licensed Zoom account, you will be told authentication is required to join, and prompted to sign in.
