I love Mason because I feel it’s a place I’ve gotten to grow professionally and personally. I work with such an incredible group of people who have taught me so much and I’ve made connections here that I will value forever. It’s a really great community! 

I joined the Staff Senate because I think it’s so important to advocate on behalf of staff members and ensure our voices are heard and considered when decisions are being made. Staff are an integral part of the university and deserve to feel valued. They bring important ideas and perspectives and should always have a seat at the table.

I joined Staff Senate in 2015 and served until 2022. I was reelected in 2024.

I love Mason because I love the diversity of the students, faculty, and staff.  There really does seem to be something for everyone here and it truly is a strength of this university.  We are definitely all together different.   

I joined because now that I have completed my graduate degree, one of the many benefits of being on the staff here at Mason, I’m ready to continue to help engage constituents, educate the Mason community, and advocate for the needs of staff.  Working with this robust group of staff allows me the opportunity to connect with the university community, working to enhance the lives of fellow staff, as we strive to make Mason the best possible place to learn, work, and achieve success.

Joined Mason in 2016 as an undergraduate student

I love Mason because it has always felt like a second home. I started at Mason in 2016 obtaining my undergraduate degree and never left. I earned my undergraduate degree in 2020, went on to become a full-time staff member and am now continuing my education at our Antonin Scalia Law School. Mason offers rich diversity, thought, and growth that I enjoy being a part of.

I joined the Staff Senate because, as a fully remote employee working from California from 2021-2024, I wanted to make sure that the needs and voices of all of Mason’s staff working worldwide were heard and represented by the Staff Senate. I’m now back on campus and ready to represent the Fairfax campus in-person!
