Thank you to Mason faculty and staff for donating to the 2019 Holiday Food and Donation Drive. Together, we collected 225 pounds of food to stock the Patriot Pantry. In Fairfax, we were able to collect several boxes of book and toy donations to benefit Inova Children’s Hospital. In Arlington, we collected $425 in gift cards to benefit Bridges to Independence. At SciTech, we delivered a bag full of pet supplies to the Prince William County Animal Shelter.
If you were not able to participate in the holiday drive but would still like to donate, below are some ways to donate year-round!
- Bridges to Independence has a list of urgently needed items, ways to give, and an Amazon Wish List. Items may be dropped off at Sullivan House seven days a week, between 7:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. The address is 3103 9th Rd. N., Arlington, VA 22201.
- Inova Children’s Hospital has set up a Wish List of needed items, an Amazon Wish List, and Gift Policies to avoid any items that they cannot accept. Drop-off items to donate at the Registration Desk in the Inova Children’s Hospital lobby (across from the Green Garage) on the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus. Enter on Wellness Boulevard, accessed off Woodburn Road.
- Prince William County Animal Shelter has a Wish List of needed items and an Amazon Wish List.
- Patriot Pantry accepts donations year-round. The pantry is located in SUB I, Room 3200. Patriot Pantry also has a List of Items that are most requested and an Amazon Wishlist. If you are interested in supporting the Patriot Pantry with a financial contribution, you can donate to the Student Food and Housing Insecurity Fund.
